Teenage Zombie Avatars
(2015)

This is an interactive work created using 3D scans of young people as avatars and placing them in a gaming environment. The work is an interactive Augmented Reality piece. The viewer holds an AR marker up to an iPad and the avatars appear in virtual 3D space. The viewer can twist and turn the markers to view the various sides of the virtual sculptures. The avatars are moving through space creating a kinetic art world in a virtual gaming space. The piece itself is an iPod mounted on a chrome pedestal. What appears on the screen is a live video that show the viewer as well as the overlapping avatars.
